Arias was signed by the Red Sox out of Venezuela for $525,000 in the 2023 international class. He was a glove-first shortstop, but his offensive skills have since caught up. Arias started the 2024 season in rookie ball and was named the Florida Complex League before finishing the season in Low-A Salem. In the FCL, Arias slashed .355/.471/.584 with 6 HRs and 30 SBs while walking as much as he struck out (34 BBs/36 Ks).
